Private Pupils

We offer examination sessions three times a year and in agreement with the MAPAS tutor and parent/carer, pupils are entered when they are ready.

The next round of ABRSM examinations will be held on Saturday 20 July at Moorside High School, 57 Deans Road, Swinton, M27 0AP. The deadline for entries is Friday 24 May.

All candidates must have an accompanist with the exception of piano pupils or those taking a Prep Test. A MAPAS accompanist is available from £15.00, which includes a 10 minute rehearsal and your accompanist on the exam day. You can provide your own accompanist if you prefer.

MAPAS also provide aural training classes leading up to the examination. These classes are optional but are highly recommended. Prices start from £6.

Our exam fees include a MAPAS administration fee of £10.
